Champaner

Day - 1:
Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar :
Morning arrival at Ahmedabad Railway station / Airport. Transfer to Hotel. After freshening-up, local sightseeing and lunch: Gandhi Ashram, Sidi Sayed Mosque, Hutheesing Temple, Adalaj Step Well, Handicraft & handloom Bazaar (Law Garden), Evening go for a stroll at Akshardham in Gandhinagar near your hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day - 2:
Baroda/Champaner :
Early breakfast and depart for Baroda the cultural capital of Gujarat. Visit the Laxmi Vilas Palace, the finest buildings of the city. Half day tour of the Palace Museum, Pratap Vilas Palace, Makarpura Palace, Kirti Mandir, Sayaji Baug, the famous M.S.University, Sursagar Lake, half day local sightseeing / shopping at Baroda. Proceed to Champaner, in the foothill of Pavagadh, the capital of Chauhan kingdom in the eighth century. Among the outstanding monuments of Champaner Juma Masjid ranks first. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel - Champaner.

Day - 3:
Dakor/Udaipur :
Early breakfast and depart for Dakor (25 kms) a picturesque town, where a temple town sacred to Lord Krishna. His image, said to be the original from Dwarka, was brought here by a devotee and installed in the village of Ranchodrai. After Darshan proceed to Shamlaji a Vaishnav shrine built in the 11th century. Proceed to Udaipur (395 kms). Check in and dinner at Hotel - Udaipur.

Day - 4:
Udaipur/Nathdwara :
Early breakfast and half day sight seeing at Udaipur (The City of Lakes, palaces and beautiful Gardens). Sight-seeing covering City palace, Jagdish Temple, Museum Saheliyon-ki-Bari, Pratap Memorial, Fateh sagar, Pichola Lake, etc. Leave Udaipur for Nathdwara enroute visit Eklingaji, Haldighati, Ranakpur, the tranquil pilgrimage town of the Jains, renowned for some marvelous carved temples in Amber stone and Kankroli famous pilgrim destination. After Darshan of Shri Nathji (10th Century Temple), check in and dinner at Hotel - Nathdwara.

Day - 5:
Kankroli/Pushkar :
Early breakfast and depart for Kankroli the temple devoted to Lord Krishna. After Darshan proceed to Pushkar a flourishing temple full of religious myths and faiths and the biggest attraction being the temple of Brahma - Lord of Creation, pay a visit to Vaikuntanatha Temple. Check in and dinner at Hotel - Pushkar.

Day - 6:
Mount Abu :
After early breakfast leave for Mt.Abu at an altitude of 1220 kms. Enjoy the serene atmosphere of Mt.Abu amidst the lush forested-a green oasis. Visit Gaumukh Temple, Nakki Lake, Shri Raghunathji Temple, Adhar Devi Temple, Sunset Point, Honeymoon point, Garden park-museum and Art Gallery. Dinner and overnight at Hotel - Mt.Abu.

Day - 7:
Mount Abu/Ambaji :
Early breakfast and depart for half day sight seeing of Delwara Temples, Treror's Tank, Achalgarh and Guru Shikhar and proceed to Ambaji (Shaktipith) the famous temple of Goddess Ambaji. After evening Darshan proceed to Polo in Banaskantha district. Check in and dinner at Hotel - Polo.

Day - 8:
Patan/Modhera/Ahmedabad :
Early breakfast and depart for Patan a picturesque town, enroute visit Siddhpur famous for the historic remains of Rudra Mahalaya and beautiful Vohra houses, Palanpur for Diamond cutting/polishing units. Proceed for Patan home of the famous patola silk saris. Patan is a beautiful old town with Jain temples and carved wooden houses. Rani ki vav (step-well) and Sahatraling lake are also interesting places to visit. Late afternoon leave for Modhera the Sun Temple (breakfast at the temple) one of the finest examples of Indian Architecture of its period. Built in 1026 A.D. Baucharaji (Goddess Bachuccharaji) the temple is dedicated to the Sun-God, Surya and stands on a plinth overlooking a deep stone-steeped tank. Drive, check in and dinner at Hotel - Ahmedabad.

Day - 9:
Gondal/Junagadh/Veraval :
Early breakfast and depart for Gondal (275 kms) a picturesque town, bisected by a river. Gondal has wide roads, arch gates, and colonial period buildings in the Gothic style, walled gardens, chowks, palaces and statuary. At Gondal visit the 1740s Navlakha Palace, a marvelous work of medieval architecture, the Orchard Palace heritage hotel, the royal garages where the Maharaja keeps his collection of vintage classic and sporting cars, the two royal rail saloons, the Swaminarayan temple, the Bhuvaneshwari temple, the stud farm of Kathiawadi horses and Gir cattle. Enjoy sightseeing at Gondal: Umbada Veedi, visit to the famous beadwork, embroidery, spinning handlooms and the Museum. While enjoying the Vintage Car collection and the Royal Saloon, lunch at The Naulakha Palace - Gondal. After lunch depart for Junagadh. Half day local sightseeing at Junagadh: Upperkot Fort, Mausoleum, Ashoka Rock Edicts, Makbara, Darbar Hall and Museum. Departure for Somnath, sightseeing at Balkatirth, Dehotsgarh. After Darshan of Jyotirlinga and Mangala Aarti, proceed to Veraval. Check in and dinner at Hotel - Veraval.

Day - 10:
BetDwarka/Porbandar/Dwarka :
Early breakfast and depart for Dwarka (315 kms) enroute Porbandar along the beautiful coastal highway. At Porbandar visit Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Alfred School which has since been renamed Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi School are big draw for tourists. Proceed for Dwarka the capital of Lord Krishna's kingdom. It contains the Dwarkadish temple which is frequented by Hindus in large numbers. Enroute visit Kirti Mandir, Sudama mandir, Harsidhmata. At Bet Dwarka after darshan visit Nageshwar Nagadev, Rukmini Mandir. Dinner and overnight at Hotel - Dwarka.

Day - 11:
Dwarka/Jamnagar :
Early breakfast and depart for Darshan at Dwarka Temple. Visit Nageshwar Jyotir Linga Temple, Bet Dwarka-Lord Krishna's residence is an island. Bet was visited by Sudama. Marine archaeologists have excavated a huge wall which is supposed to be a part of Krishna's capital. Dwarka, which is one of the four principal dhams, was visited by both Narsinh Mehta and Mirabai. One of the Vallabhacharya baithaks is in Dwarka. Visit Bet Dwarka, Rukmini Temple and after lunch at Dwarka leave for Jamnagar the most important princely states of Saurashtra. Because of its magnificent palaces, water bodies and town planning, Jamnagar was called the Paris of India. Lakhota Palace, built as a drought relief measure by Ranmalji, on an island in the centre of the bird rich Jamsarovar Lake. Bhirbhajan gate besides the Bala Hanuman temple where the continuous chanting of "Shri Rama, Jai Rama, Jai Jai Rama" has entered the Guinness book of world records since 46 years without an interruption! Other places worth visiting are Peter Scott Nature Park, Marine National Park. Dinner and stay at Hotel - Jamnagar.

Day - 12:
Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad :
After early breakfast leave for Gandhinagar (290 kms). On arrival visit Akshardham - The Pink Splendour at Gandhinagar. Since its opening it has been elevated as India's eternal monument and as one of the marvels of the 20th century. Evening free for shopping at Ahmedabad. Dinner/Stay at Hotel.

Day - 13:
Depart Ahmedabad :
Transfer from your hotel to the Railway station / Airport to catch respective
Train / Flight.
